We recently completed a large project in conjunction with the construction company Wilmott Dixon.

Wilmott Dixon had undertaken a redevelopment/refurbishment project of high-rise apartment blocks in Salford, Greater Manchester. As part of this project, we were instructed to remove the existing walkway balustrades and replace with new, upgraded, mild steel balustrades.

Our design for the balustrade replacement came to life with a fabricated mild steel balcony frame. Perforated aluminium sheets were incorporated and the entire structure was powder-coated in a RAL 7016 anthracite grey finish.

The balustrade replacement was installed to the engineer’s specification design, using Rawl fixing bolts. The fixings were also subject to a pull-test. A mobile rig was used to compile a report demonstrating the fixing strength.

We look forward to completing further balcony projects with Wilmott Dixon.
